ARCHITECTURE & INTERIORS
A clear brief for your space
Before layouts and materials, agree on what the space needs to do.

A useful brief connects your ambition to everyday requirements. Whether you are planning a home or a workplace, a few clear decisions give the design team a stronger starting point.
Begin with people and activities
Describe who will use the space and what they need to do there. Consider quiet and shared areas, privacy, storage, movement and access. Explain what works in your current space and what creates friction.
Separate priorities from preferences
List the outcomes that matter most, then distinguish them from visual references you simply like. Share your available budget, desired timing and known site constraints. Where something is uncertain, mark it as a question to resolve together.
Agree on scope and decisions
Clarify whether you need advice, a design package or support through implementation. Agree on deliverables, review stages and who will make decisions. Record changes to the brief so the team can understand their effect on the work.
YOUR NEXT STEP
Prepare a one-page brief with your users, essential activities, priorities and unanswered questions. It is a starting point for a conversation, not a finished design.
